Heads overheat: RTX 5090 power connector heated up to 150°
The video card was being tested by a video blogger who managed to increase the power consumption to 600 W—at this moment, critical heating of the power connector was recorded. There was no fire, and the cable remained functional, but technical wear and tear became visibly noticeable.
This is yet another confirmation that overheating of the new model is a systematic problem. Previously, this defect was attributed to incorrect connections by users.
We’ll take this along with fire insurance.
